This Anglican cathedral stands at the corner of Flinders and Swanston streets, directly opposite Flinders Street Station in the heart of Melbourne. Built in the Gothic Revival style and consecrated in 1891, its spires were completed later to a modified design, rising in pale sandstone above the busy intersection. The interior features patterned tiling, stained glass and one of the largest pipe organs in the country. As the seat of the Anglican archbishop of Melbourne, it remains an active place of worship while welcoming visitors to its richly.
