This fishing village on the northeastern coast of Tobago overlooks a bay studded with small islands and is renowned as a base for diving and snorkelling on some of the Caribbean's healthiest reefs. Glass-bottom boats and dive operators depart from the shore toward waters known for large sponges, manta rays, and abundant marine life. Terraced hills of former cocoa estates rise behind the village. Its combination of reef access and quiet coastal scenery draws naturalists to the island's far end.
