Fort Edmonton Park is Canada's largest living-history museum, spread through the river valley of Edmonton and recreating the settlement across four eras of its past. Visitors move from a reconstructed fur-trade fort through streets representing the 1885, 1905 and 1920s periods, complete with a steam train, streetcar and costumed interpreters. Shops, homes and public buildings have been restored or rebuilt to depict everyday prairie life. The immersive scale makes it one of the most ambitious heritage attractions in western Canada.
