This curving stone bridge crosses the Mississippi River just below St. Anthony Falls in downtown Minneapolis, its arches built of granite and limestone in 1883 to carry railroad tracks to a downtown depot. After rail traffic ended it was converted to a pedestrian and bicycle crossing, offering some of the best views of the falls, the historic mill district, and the city skyline. The only arched stone bridge on the entire Mississippi, its gentle bow makes it a favorite spot for photographs and evening strolls.
