Built within the ruins of the Washburn A Mill, once the largest flour mill in the world, this Minneapolis museum tells the story of the industry that powered the city's rise on the Mississippi River. The mill was gutted by fire, and its charred limestone walls now enclose modern galleries. A Flour Tower elevator ride passes through preserved milling floors with sound and video, and an observation deck overlooks St. Anthony Falls and the historic riverfront. Exhibits cover milling technology, labor, and the flour brands born here.
