This restored Georgian mansion in Annapolis was the home of William Paca, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and later governor of Maryland. Built in the 1760s, the five-part brick house has been carefully returned to its colonial appearance, with period furnishings evoking the life of a wealthy planter and statesman. Behind it lies a two-acre formal garden arranged in terraced parterres with a fish-shaped pond, wilderness area, and pavilion, reconstructed from archaeological evidence.
