The Cathedral of the Holy Cross is the Anglican cathedral of Lusaka and the seat of the Diocese of Lusaka, built in a restrained modern style with a low silhouette and open interior. Consecrated in the 1960s, it has served as the venue for major national services, including state funerals attended by heads of state. Its uncluttered nave and simple concrete forms reflect mid-century church architecture. The cathedral sits on Independence Avenue among government buildings, and visitors are welcome outside service times.
