A monument in central Gaborone honouring the three paramount chiefs who travelled to Britain in 1895 to secure the future of their people and territory. Unveiled in 2005, the memorial features large bronze statues of the leaders standing together on a landscaped plaza in the government district. Interpretive panels recount their journey and its role in shaping the modern nation. Set among the ministries and the mall of the capital, the monument is a focal point for national identity and civic gatherings.
