University of Dodoma

One of the largest university campuses in Africa by land area, this institution on the outskirts of Dodoma spreads across the hills of the capital region. Established in the mid-2000s, it has become a major centre of higher education in Tanzania, drawing students from across the country. Its sprawling colleges, halls and facilities form a substantial district in their own right.
