Located inside the parliament building in Kigali, this museum recounts the military campaign that halted the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. Exhibits detail the advance of rebel forces, the rescue of survivors and the defence of politicians sheltered in the compound. The building itself still bears shell damage from the fighting, preserved as testimony. Displays combine maps, weapons, photographs and personal accounts. It emphasises how the killing was stopped and the nation rebuilt afterward.
