This prominent hill in Kampala crowned by the Catholic cathedral offers one of the capital's classic vantage points across its many rises. The twin-towered church stands as the seat of the Catholic archdiocese and a counterpart to the Anglican cathedral on the neighbouring hill. Landscaped grounds and pilgrim paths surround the summit, which figures in the story of Christianity in Buganda and the veneration of the Ugandan martyrs. Visitors climb for the architecture, the religious heritage and the panorama over the city's rooftops.
