Mapo Hall is a colonial-era assembly building crowning one of the hills of Ibadan, its columned façade a prominent landmark visible across the sprawling city. Completed in the early twentieth century, it served as the town hall and venue for civic functions and remains a symbol of Ibadan's status as a historic Yoruba capital. From its elevated terrace, visitors survey the rust-brown rooftops that stretch to the horizon. The neoclassical structure continues to host ceremonies, anchoring the old quarter of one of Africa's largest cities.
