Adjoining the celebrated Roman city of Timgad, this site museum gathers the finest mosaics and sculpture lifted from the ruins to protect them from the elements. Its rooms are lined with vivid floor mosaics depicting mythological scenes, sea creatures and geometric patterns, alongside statues, inscriptions and everyday objects. The collection helps visitors imagine the colour and comfort of a prosperous provincial town at its height. Together with the excavated streets outside, it completes a rewarding archaeological visit.
