The Wild Jordan Center sits on the edge of Jabal Amman, overlooking the downtown bowl and the citadel hill opposite. Run by the country's Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, it combines a nature café and terrace with an eco-shop selling handicrafts made in Jordan's protected reserves. The centre promotes the nation's parks and wildlife and acts as a booking hub for visits to reserves across the country. Its wide terrace, with sweeping views over the old city, is a popular spot for a meal above the historic centre.
