A tall broadcasting and observation tower on a hillside above Ashgabat, its structure incorporating a huge star-shaped emblem that earned it a world record as the largest architectural star. Standing over two hundred metres high, it commands wide views across the marble city and toward the Kopet Dag range. Illuminated at night, the eight-pointed star has become an emblem of the capital. The tower reflects the ambitious, record-seeking architecture that characterises modern Ashgabat.
