The National Planetarium sits on a landscaped hill within the Kuala Lumpur lake gardens, its blue dome designed to evoke a Muslim place of worship in keeping with Malaysian architecture. Inside, a space theatre, exhibition galleries, and an observatory introduce visitors to astronomy, space exploration, and the history of navigation by the stars. Displays include models of rockets and satellites, and interactive stations aimed at younger visitors. The elevated grounds also offer wide views over the surrounding parkland.
