This fifteenth-century mausoleum near Bagerhat holds the remains of Khan Jahan Ali, the saint and governor who founded the surrounding medieval mosque city. The single-domed square brick structure sits beside a large tank whose waters and resident crocodiles are the focus of local devotion. Pilgrims come year-round to pay respects and make offerings at the shrine, and an annual fair draws large crowds. It anchors the delta's mosque city as a central heritage landmark.
