Lok Virsa Museum

Also known as the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage, this museum on the Shakarparian slopes documents the folk and living cultures of Pakistan's many regions. Galleries display textiles, jewellery, woodwork, musical instruments and life-size dioramas depicting rural crafts, weddings and festivals from the provinces. The institution also archives oral traditions, folk music and crafts, and hosts festivals where artisans demonstrate their skills.
