This small colonial-era watchtower sits at the tip of the Worli headland, overlooking the fishing village and the mouth of Mahim Bay. Built by the East India Company to guard against pirates and rival navies, the modest stone fort has weathered centuries of sea spray. From its ramparts visitors take in views of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and the koli fishing community below. Though little more than a ruin today, the fort offers a quiet, atmospheric glimpse of the maritime defences that once ringed old Bombay.
