Fontvieille Harbour

A modern marina created on land reclaimed from the sea, forming the newest quarter of the principality below the palace rock. Lined with residential blocks, shops and waterside restaurants, it shelters pleasure craft and small yachts in a calm basin. Adjacent are the football stadium, several museums and the landscaped parks that soften the district. The harbour offers a quieter, more everyday face of Monaco compared with the glamour of Monte Carlo across the headland.
