Håkon's Hall is a large medieval stone banqueting hall within Bergen's fortress, built in the thirteenth century during the city's era as a royal seat and capital of Norway. Its high gabled roof and Gothic windows made it one of the most impressive secular buildings of its time, used for royal ceremonies and gatherings. Damaged over the centuries and heavily reconstructed after wartime destruction, it now serves as a venue for concerts and events. Standing beside a fortified tower, it recalls Bergen's importance in the medieval kingdom.
