This miniature theme park on the south bank of the Mondego river presents scaled-down models of Portugal's most famous monuments and regional houses, laid out among gardens and pathways sized for children. Created in the 1940s, it also features pavilions dedicated to the country's former overseas territories and to Coimbra's own landmarks. Youngsters can walk through and enter many of the small buildings, making it a playful introduction to the nation's architecture. Mature trees give the whole park a storybook feel.
