This house museum near the Milan fashion district preserves the home of two 19th-century brothers who remodelled their palace in a lavish neo-Renaissance style. Every room was fitted with carved panelling, tapestries, arms, ceramics and paintings assembled to evoke the dwelling of a wealthy Renaissance family, blending genuine antiques with skilled reproductions. The result is an unusually complete period interior rather than a conventional gallery. Visitors move through bedrooms, studies and a great hall furnished as they were left.
