Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes

Set high on the flank of the Verdera range above the Cap de Creus coast, this ruined Benedictine monastery commands sweeping views of the bay of Port de la Selva. Its eleventh-century church shows an ambitious vaulted nave that was rare for its date.
