Archaeological Heritage of the Lenggong Valley

Stone tools scattered through the Lenggong Valley chronicle nearly two million years of human activity — one of the longest sequences anywhere and the oldest traces of early humans recorded outside Africa. Four sites in two clusters take in open-air Palaeolithic workshops and caves whose deposits run through the Neolithic to the Metal Age; Gua Gunung Runtuh cave yielded the famous 'Perak Man' burial. UNESCO inscribed this quiet Malaysian valley in 2012.
