A dark-sand beach refuge famous for arribadas, mass nesting events when tens of thousands of olive ridley turtles come ashore over a few nights. Local guides manage access, and the community retains a regulated traditional egg harvest unique in the world. Between arribadas the beach stays wild and nearly empty.
