A protected highland landscape of cloud forest, tobacco and coffee farms, and small campesino communities northeast of Estelí. Visitors stay in family homestays, ride horses between waterfalls, and look for quetzals and orchids. It is one of Nicaragua's best examples of community-run rural tourism.
