Lagunas de Chacahua National Park

A chain of coastal lagoons west of Puerto Escondido where mangrove channels, a crocodile sanctuary, and an Afro-Mexican fishing village meet an empty surf beach. Getting there involves a boat ride across the lagoon, which keeps crowds thin; on moonless nights the water often glows with bioluminescence.
