A mountain village inside Dilijan National Park, named after the medieval jurist and fabulist Mkhitar Gosh who founded the nearby monastery and is buried in the village vicinity. Traditional stone houses with wooden balconies line lanes that climb toward forested ridges, and a trail leads up through the woods to the small, reed-fringed Gosh Lake. It makes a quiet stop on hiking routes between Dilijan and the Aghstev valley.
