A large village near Noyemberyan best known for the ruins of Berdavan Fortress, a medieval stronghold also called Ghalinjakar, whose thick basalt walls crown a hill above the vineyards. The village lies in one of the warmest corners of Armenia, producing wine and fruit on the terraced slopes around it. Fortress walls and towers can be explored freely, with wide views toward the border lowlands.
