The Calf of Man is a small islet off the southwest tip of the Isle of Man, separated by a fast-running sound and managed as a bird observatory and nature reserve. Manx shearwaters, choughs and grey seals are among the wildlife recorded here, and boat trips from Port Erin and Port St Mary circle or land on the islet in season. Even from the mainland viewpoint at the Sound, the setting is spectacular.
