Harbour Island, Bahamas

A small island off Eleuthera famous for a three-mile beach whose sand carries a soft pink tint from crushed foraminifera shells. Dunmore Town, its only settlement, mixes pastel loyalist-era cottages with golf carts as the main mode of transport, giving the island an unhurried, old-Bahamian character.
