One of the largest cave systems in the Western Hemisphere, carved by the Camuy River through the karst country of northwestern Puerto Rico. Trolleys descend into a sinkhole draped in vegetation before guided walks pass stalagmite halls and a window onto the underground river. The surrounding karst belt hides sinkholes, haystack hills, and the nearby Arecibo Observatory site.
