Culebra's horseshoe bay of fine white sand and gin-clear water, regularly ranked among the best beaches in the world. Rusting tanks left from the island's days as a naval gunnery range sit graffiti-covered at one end, an odd counterpoint to the postcard setting. Kiosks at the entrance grill skewers and sell piña coladas, and camping is allowed behind the dunes.
