A relaxed port city on Madagascar's northwest coast where a giant centuries-old baobab marks the seafront corniche. Its long sunsets over the Mozambique Channel, Comorian and Indian influences, and nearby red tsingy-like Cirque Rouge give it a distinct character. Boats and roads link it to Ankarafantsika National Park and the Katsepy lighthouse.
