A single 192-metre plume of water dropping into a gorge in the Lesotho highlands, so powerful that the nearby village of Semonkong is named for its smoke-like spray. Travellers reach it on horseback or on foot, and one of the world's longest commercial abseils descends beside the falls.

Where next?

The world is wide open.
