Royal Natal National Park

Home to the Amphitheatre, a five-kilometre wall of basalt cliffs rising over a kilometre from the valley floor, this park delivers some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in southern Africa. Trails range from gentle riverside strolls to the demanding chain-ladder ascent toward Tugela Falls, among the world's tallest waterfalls.
