A park of white-grass plains squeezed between lakes Abaya and Chamo, its name meaning 'white grass' in Amharic. Burchell's zebra and Swayne's hartebeest graze the savanna while enormous Nile crocodiles bask at the Chamo shoreline known as the crocodile market. Boat and vehicle safaris both start from nearby Arba Minch.
