A powerful set of rapids on the Victoria Nile downstream of Jinja, sacred to local Busoga communities. Since the Bujagali dam submerged other rapids, Itanda has become the main stage for grade-five white-water rafting and kayaking. Viewing platforms above the churning channel draw photographers at sunset.
