The highest point of Equatorial Guinea, this 3,011-meter volcano rises directly above Malabo and is protected within a national park of montane cloud forest. A road climbs almost to the summit shrine, where breaks in the mist reveal views across Bioko and, on clear days, to Mount Cameroon.

The world is wide open.
