A rare double temple rises on a bend of the Nile here, dedicated symmetrically to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus the Elder. The adjoining Crocodile Museum displays mummified crocodiles from the ancient cult, and sunset light on the riverside columns is superb.
