Quebrada de los Cuervos is a narrow river canyon in the Treinta y Tres department of eastern Uruguay, protected as a national park for its anomalous subtropical gallery forest that descends into the valley walls in a landscape otherwise dominated by rolling pampa grasslands. The gorge is home to populations of king vultures and other raptors that nest in the rock faces, alongside numerous bird species uncommon elsewhere in Uruguay. The contrast of the dense subtropical canopy against open grassland plateau is unusual in the regional geography.
