Providencia Island

A remote volcanic island in the western Caribbean with some of the clearest water in the hemisphere, Providencia sits 90 kilometers north of San Andrés and is surrounded by the third-largest barrier reef in the world. The island retains a distinct Creole cultural identity and maintains low-density tourism infrastructure. The peak of El Pico offers a trail through dry tropical forest with sweeping views of the surrounding turquoise lagoon.
