Caye Caulker is a small limestone island in the Belize Barrier Reef, divided into two sections by a water channel called The Split. The island's motto—'Go Slow'—reflects a pace of life shaped by its car-free sandy streets, beachside hammocks, and focus on simple aquatic pursuits. Snorkelling tours from the island regularly encounter nurse sharks, rays, and sea turtles at the nearby Shark Ray Alley within Hol Chan Marine Reserve.
