Semuc Champey is a natural limestone bridge spanning the Cahabón River in the forested hills of Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. Atop the bridge, a series of turquoise and emerald terraced pools connected by small waterfalls invites swimming. A steep trail climbs to a mirador above the bridge where the full extent of the stepped pools is visible against the surrounding jungle canopy. The site lies in a remote valley several hours by road from Guatemala City.
