Manuel Antonio is one of the smallest yet most biodiverse national parks in Costa Rica, combining white-sand beaches with dense primary rainforest along a Pacific peninsula. White-faced capuchin monkeys, two- and three-toed sloths, and scarlet macaws are reliably encountered along the short trail network. The park's central beach, Playa Manuel Antonio, is sheltered by a rocky headland and offers calm swimming conditions.
