Tracy Arm is a narrow fjord extending about 45 kilometers into the Coast Mountains southeast of Juneau, terminating at the twin Sawyer Glaciers that calve actively into its waters. Granite walls rising nearly 1,000 meters directly from the waterline frame the fjord, and icebergs of turquoise and blue fill the inner reaches near the glaciers. Small-ship and zodiac tours from Juneau navigate through the ice to reach the glaciers, passing harbor seals resting on ice floes and waterfalls cascading from the sheer walls.
