A mesa-top state park near Moab, Utah, whose main overlook provides a sweeping panorama of the Colorado River as it winds through canyon country 2,000 feet below. The classic long-exposure view captures the river's oxbow bends cutting through layers of red and orange sandstone at sunrise or sunset. The park is named for a legend of horses stranded on the mesa after being corralled by cowboys. It is located just outside the entrance to Canyonlands' Island in the Sky district.
