A slot canyon section of the Virgin River within Zion National Park, where canyon walls rise up to 1,000 feet and the passage narrows to as little as 20 feet wide. The most popular approach begins at the Temple of Sinawava and requires wading through the river for much of the route. Water temperatures remain cold year-round, and the depth varies with season. Flash flood risk necessitates checking the park's weather forecasts before entering. Rental gear including neoprene socks and walking sticks is available in Springdale.
