A Utah state park preserving a valley floor covered with thousands of mushroom-shaped sandstone formations called hoodoos or goblins, eroded from the Entrada Sandstone. The three main observation points on the valley rim provide sweeping views over the formations. Visitors may wander freely among the goblins on the valley floor, an unusual policy that makes the park particularly popular with families. The remote location in the San Rafael Desert means light crowds compared to major national parks.
